There are so many choices and so many prices for snowblowers.
How does someone who has never bought a snowblower know how to choose?
Its really simple actually.
There are two types of snow blowers:
type 1: single stage
type 2: two stage
Single stage snow blowers are typically best for snow that is less than 8" deep and should be used on paved surfaces such as sidewalks and driveways. The single stage snowblower pulls itself along with the auger that it uses to suck the snow off the ground. Very simple machine, relatively inexpensive and effective.
Two stage snowblowers are best for unpaved surfaces such as gravel driveways and walkways. Two stage snowblowers are very powerful and consequently more expensive. They are more complicated (read that...more can go wrong)and have adjustable clearing heights. Some two stage snow blowers can blow snow almost 50 feet!
This is just a brief summary of snow blowers. You can find other articles and more information about brands of snowblowers with a google search.
I want to give you down to earth information about snowblowers so you can make an informed decision about which one to get. Even though the snow season is over for a large part of the USA, there are still a few of you who have some snowy days ahead.
Also, as the season winds down, you might be able to pick up a snowblower at a bargain price for next year, so it would be good to have some information about them so you can get a good one!
All for today. Be back in a couple of days or so with more.

The Best Snow Blowers
Snowblowers are a big key to surviving the harsh snowy winters in the midwest, great plains, and the northeast.
Buying a snowblower can be a substantial investment so its important that you buy the best quality snowblower you can afford.
What should you look for in a quality snowblower?
This is one question that I will investigate over the next few weeks while some of the USA is still experiencing snow fall and winter's fury.
Please feel free to post your reviews of the snowblowers that you've had or heard about so we can get to the bottom of which one is the best value for the money.
